Overview
We are seeking a Head of Artificial Intelligence to lead an enterprise-wide AI initiative for a rapidly growing organization in the Energy Trading sector. In this pivotal role, you will shape the direction of AI strategies, manage a team of AI engineers, and directly engage with various departments to implement practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency and compliance within a highly regulated environment. Your hands-on leadership will be critical in transforming innovative AI concepts into scalable enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategic direction for AI initiatives across the enterprise.
- Lead a team of AI engineers, guiding their development and project execution.
- Transform AI ideas into working prototypes, proofs of concept (POCs), and production-grade solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and deliver practical AI use cases.
- Integrate AI systems with existing business operations and enterprise data.
- Ensure compliance with AI governance, data security, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate complex AI concepts to senior business leaders effectively.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the AI team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior AI engineering roles within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on engineering capabilities with a focus on practical application.
- Experience in developing AI projects through POCs and into production.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), Generative AI, and autonomous agents.
- Track record of integrating AI with enterprise-level systems and data.
- Understanding of AI governance, data security, and compliance issues in regulated environments.
- Previous experience in the Energy Trading or Commodities sectors is highly desirable.
- Ability to articulate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
