Overview
The Interim Head of FP&A will oversee the planning, forecasting, and commercial analysis functions for a private equity-backed technology business during a period of strategic change. This role requires collaboration with senior leadership and the Board to enhance decision-making through improved financial reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS or technology and experience in a private equity setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the forecasting and planning process.
- Build and enhance financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Produce detailed analysis on business performance and operational efficiency.
- Support reporting for the Board and senior leadership.
- Improve commercial reporting focusing on sales, customers, and deal economics.
- Leverage BI and CRM data to provide critical business insights.
- Challenge assumptions and provide clear commercial judgement.
- Refine FP&A processes and enhance reporting discipline.
Requirements
- Strong experience in SaaS, technology, or professional services sectors.
- Proven experience in a private equity-backed business environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong background in business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Experience with CRM and commercial data analytics.
- Demonstrated commercial judgement and effective stakeholder management skills.
- Experience producing reports at the Board level.
- Hands-on approach in dynamic and fast-paced settings.
