Overview
We are looking for a Data Centre Migration Project Manager to lead an essential migration project from a UK facility to a new site in Europe, with a target completion date of March 2027. This contract role will involve collaborating with various teams and managing third-party suppliers while ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed and engaged throughout the process. As a hybrid position, you will be expected to work on-site in Birmingham 1–2 days a week, along with occasional travel to Europe.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end migration plan and governance for the data centre project.
- Coordinate efforts among third-party suppliers, network, and infrastructure teams.
- Translate technical decisions into business impact for stakeholders.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and overall delivery to meet project timelines.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align project goals and expectations.
- Establish and maintain PMO governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering complex data centre or infrastructure migration projects.
- Strong technical background in infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and PMO governance.
- Confident self-starter with a proactive mindset.
