Overview
The M&A Project Manager will support a global technology organization's integration of acquired businesses during a period of significant growth and transformation. In this hybrid role, the contractor will collaborate with senior stakeholders to manage multiple workstreams, ensuring that all integration activities are effectively delivered on time and within scope. This position focuses on driving project delivery rather than corporate development, making it essential for the individual to maintain strong oversight and clear communication throughout the integration process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate M&A integration projects from planning through to delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed integration plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate multiple functional workstreams and ensure dependencies, risks, and actions are effectively managed.
- Own project governance and maintain clear oversight of integration progress.
- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Operations, and other corporate functions.
- Ensure deliverables are clearly defined, assigned, and completed against agreed timelines.
- Drive actions and proactively resolve risks, issues, and blockers.
- Provide clear updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and areas requiring decisions.
Requirements
- Strong project management experience within complex, fast-paced organizations.
- Experience managing project delivery across M&A and integration activities.
- Experience supporting or leading the integration of acquired businesses.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
- Experience coordinating multiple functions, workstreams, and international stakeholders.
- Strong planning skills with experience managing milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and actions.
- Ability to quickly understand complex requirements and translate these into clear actions and deliverables.
- Comfortable getting into the detail, challenging stakeholders, and proactively driving project delivery.
