HR Business Partner

Overview

The HR Business Partner will play a pivotal role in managing TUPE transfers within a dynamic organizational environment over a 6 month contract. This position requires collaboration with various departments, including Legal and Operations, to ensure smooth employee transitions while addressing complex employee relations matters. The successful candidate will also provide expert guidance on TUPE legislation, helping to enhance the knowledge of managers through training and workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of TUPE transfers, including due diligence and employee consultation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on TUPE legislation, advising management on legal obligations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and Recruitment teams to facilitate seamless employee transfers.
  • Address complex employee relations matters relating to TUPE, such as redundancies and grievances.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on TUPE guidance to enhance managerial understanding of employment legislation.
  • Monitor legislative developments and advise the business on changes affecting TUPE and organizational change.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing end-to-end TUPE transfers.
  • In-depth knowledge of TUPE legislation and UK employment law.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, including grievance and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience leading consultation processes with trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Experience supporting organizational restructures, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with effective relationship-building capabilities.
