Overview
The Principal AI Architect will lead a major enterprise AI transformation for an Investment Management company, focusing on defining and delivering innovative GenAI and Agentic AI solutions. This senior role requires collaboration with both client stakeholders and a small engineering team, taking initiatives from early-stage discovery through to production while navigating complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic environments and be capable of shaping solutions while driving technical delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture across enterprise GenAI & Agentic AI solutions.
- Take AI initiatives from early-stage discovery through to production.
- Turn ambiguous business and technical challenges into clear architecture and delivery plans.
- Lead and provide technical direction to a small team of engineers.
- Work directly with senior and C-level client stakeholders.
- Remain close to the engineering and confidently challenge technical decisions.
- Collaborate across the wider ecosystem of AI, cloud, data, platforms and integration.
Requirements
- Principal / Staff+ level AI Architect / Engineer.
- Strong GenAI / LLM architecture and production delivery experience.
- Experience across Agentic AI, RAG, orchestration and tool use.
- Broad cloud, data and platform architecture knowledge.
- Strong hands-on engineering foundations.
- Experience leading senior engineering teams.
- Excellent consulting and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to take ownership of undefined problems and drive solutions.
