Overview
The Technical Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in an engineering company poised for significant growth following a series of acquisitions. This contract position requires a collaborative effort with the Group IT Director and Enterprise Architect to create scalable and secure technology solutions that support the organization's ambitious digital transformation strategy. The architect will focus on designing enterprise-scale solutions that integrate cloud technologies, infrastructure, applications, and security, ensuring alignment with the overall technology strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technical solutions across infrastructure, cloud, applications, integration, data and security.
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and technical documentation.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to deliver target-state architecture.
- Support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud transformation initiatives.
- Design integration architectures, APIs, and data flows between enterprise systems.
- Lead technical design for M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and migration planning.
- Participate in Technical Design Authority (TDA) and Architecture Review Boards, providing governance and technical assurance.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Infrastructure Architect, or similar.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and applications.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Experience designing secure, resilient, and highly available enterprise solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration.
- Experience delivering digital transformation and M&A technology integration projects.
- Experience designing AI-enabled solutions, including Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
