Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Security & Compliance Architect to undertake a contract role focused on a significant security infrastructure programme for a global client in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. The contractor will collaborate with a team to deliver strategic and hands-on architectural solutions around network security, identity and access management, and security incident and event management. The successful candidate will begin work immediately, contributing their extensive expertise to ensure the integrity of critical systems while working remotely with occasional on-site requirements in London.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of end-to-end network security architecture including edge security, segmentation, and multi-tenancy.
- Develop and validate high-level designs for identity providers, SSO, and role-based access controls.
- Architect SIEM/SOAR systems for log collection, correlation, and incident response.
- Create industry-standard documentation for high-level and low-level designs as required.
- Conduct threat modelling using STRIDE methodologies and implement appropriate security controls.
- Validate Bills of Materials for security appliances and licensing requirements across various security domains.
- Enhance corporate security environments through effective EPP and DLP strategies.
- Engage in hands-on validation of technical details to ensure architectural integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Architect with expertise in network security, IAM, and SIEM/SOAR processes.
- Strong capability in both high-level and low-level design, with a focus on detailed technical documentation.
- Experience in validating Bills of Materials for security and IAM solutions, as well as licensing for relevant tools.
- Familiarity with STRIDE threat modelling and enterprise-level security environments.
- Ability to work independently and engage in hands-on technical validation.
