Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to lead the financial transformation for two mid-sized service-oriented businesses within a dynamic group environment. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior leadership and the Group CFO to align financial strategies with operational goals, delivering significant improvements and enhancements. Your expertise will guide the development of robust financial processes and compliance frameworks while also mentoring finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives.
- Lead diagnostic reviews of financial operations and compliance.
- Design and implement enhanced financial processes and reporting frameworks.
- Support the leadership teams in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities for improved performance.
- Establish financial reporting frameworks and KPIs aligned with Group standards.
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentoring for finance teams.
- Deliver actionable recommendations for long-term financial sustainability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Interim Finance Director or senior finance transformation leader.
- Background in professional services (consultancy, accountancy, corporate services, etc.).
- Experience managing complex revenue models (e.g., retainers and project-based accounting).
- Strong expertise in financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering work outside IR35.
