Overview
We are seeking an Interim FP&A Manager to join a private equity-backed insurance business during a critical phase of its growth and exit strategy. This hybrid role will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for leading the FP&A function, providing essential financial insight and reporting, and supporting decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various teams to enhance financial visibility and drive performance, making a significant impact on the company’s future trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the business.
- Own monthly management reporting and deliver high-quality financial insights to senior stakeholders.
- Support the CFO with board reporting, investor reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, decision-making, and value creation initiatives.
- Partner closely with commercial and operational teams to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver meaningful KPI reporting and analysis to support business performance.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to support strategic initiatives and transaction planning.
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting, and systems.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering, or Strategic Finance roles.
- Experience within the insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Experience working in a private equity-backed or fast-paced commercial environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
- Advanced Excel and financial planning skills.
