Overview
The Interim Head of FP&A will play a pivotal role in the transformation and growth of a private equity-backed manufacturing business. Collaborating closely with the CFO, investors, and senior leadership, the candidate will enhance forecasting, reporting, and support strategic decision-making during a significant transition period. This role is critical in driving performance improvement and value creation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the FP&A function across the group.
- Deliver accurate monthly forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
- Build and enhance KPI reporting across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.
- Support the CFO with board packs, lender reporting, and investor presentations.
- Drive cash flow forecasting and working capital management initiatives.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability and productivity.
- Develop financial models to support strategic investment decisions and M&A activity.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting automation, and data quality.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience leading FP&A within a manufacturing environment.
- Track record supporting M&A, integrations, and transformation programmes.
- Experience in a private equity-backed business.
- Strong understanding of operational and manufacturing KPIs.
- Advanced financial modelling and business partnering skills.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership teams and boards.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and deliver impact in an interim capacity.
