Interim Head Of FP&A

Overview

The Interim Head of FP&A will play a pivotal role in establishing a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function for an insurance sector business. This position involves collaborating closely with the newly appointed CFO to design and implement reporting frameworks and processes that will enhance the finance function. The contractor will lead the transformation efforts from the ground up, ensuring that best practices are integrated into the new structure for optimal performance and value addition.

Responsibilities

  • Build out the FP&A function from scratch in collaboration with the CFO.
  • Design and implement management information (MI) and reporting frameworks.
  • Support the finance workstream for an ongoing Workday implementation.
  • Shape the structure, processes, and priorities of the FP&A function.
  • Integrate best-practice FP&A thinking into the finance function.
  • Ensure effective management reporting and capital management processes are established.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an FP&A leader with a focus on building or transforming finance functions.
  • Strong background in the insurance industry, particularly in capital management and underwriting.
  • Experience with Workday implementation or support, particularly in Finance/Adaptive.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-paced and high-visibility environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in MI/reporting design and management.
