Overview
The IT Vendor Performance Manager will develop and implement a framework for measuring and reporting on vendor performance for a large enterprise operating a multi-vendor technology delivery model. Collaborating closely with technology leadership, vendor management, and delivery leads, the contractor will create standardized processes and reporting structures to provide insight into vendor performance against contractual commitments and service delivery quality. This role focuses on building a repeatable framework rather than managing existing operations, ensuring effective governance and alignment with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an IT vendor performance management framework covering all strategic technology partners.
- Define a standard set of KPIs and metrics applied consistently across vendors.
- Build processes to aggregate data from multiple sources into a single performance view.
- Establish governance cadence and reporting structures for executive-level reviews.
- Align metrics with contractual SLAs and KPIs in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Identify gaps in current tracking and recommend tooling or process improvements.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and the CTO.
- Deliver vendor performance framework and standardised reporting templates.
Requirements
- Proven track record designing vendor performance frameworks in large enterprise environments.
- Direct experience managing relationships with tier-1 SIs.
- Strong background in data aggregation and reporting using tools like Jira and BI reporting tools.
- Comfortable operating at CxO level with a knack for translating operational details into executive insights.
- Experience in technology delivery governance, vendor management, or IT strategy consulting.
- Familiarity with vendor scorecarding and SLA governance frameworks is desirable.
- Prior consulting background with experience in large-scale or regulated organizations is advantageous.
- Ability to create and implement governance structures from scratch.
