Overview
The Contract Manufacturing Project Manager will oversee avionics programs, ensuring they progress from First Article Inspection through to serial production and eventual end-of-life. This role requires effective management of an external manufacturing partner and serves as the main point of contact for customers, reporting key performance indicators to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Deliver manufacturing programs on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage the production transfer process with an external manufacturing partner.
- Drive initiatives for obsolescence management and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Act as the primary customer liaison during production and First Article Inspection acceptance.
- Own key performance indicators and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing or production project management.
- Background in electronics product management, preferred within the aerospace sector.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS/EN9100, AS9102, and ECSS.
- Proven track record of managing full project lifecycles.
- Strong risk management skills.
- Bonus experience in outsourcing transfer, obsolescence management, and DO-254/DO-178 standards.
