Overview
We are seeking a Contract IT Project Manager specializing in Cyber Security to support a key defense client in aligning their systems, controls, and policies with new MOD standards. In this role, you will work closely with internal IT leads, security teams, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery while reporting progress to senior stakeholders. Your expertise will help transform the organization’s cyber security posture, making it audit-ready for MOD review.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a gap analysis of current systems against new MOD cyber security requirements.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, costed action plan for improvements.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the project, overseeing infrastructure upgrades and policy changes.
- Coordinate efforts among internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project alignment.
- Monitor progress, risks, and compliance, providing clear reports to senior leadership.
- Prepare documentation necessary for MOD audits and compliance checks.
Requirements
- Active SC clearance is mandatory from day one.
- Proven experience in delivering IT projects in defense or regulated sectors.
- Hands-on knowledge of cyber compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, or MOD-specific standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Gloucestershire / Herefordshire.
- PRINCE2, APM or similar project management certification is advantageous, but delivery experience is prioritized.
