Overview
The Network Test Engineer will focus on creating, executing, and maintaining test cases for various telecom and network infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with engineering and delivery teams to ensure effective test planning and execution while working primarily in a remote capacity with occasional office visits. The contractor will play a key role in validating network solutions and ensuring their operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain test cases for telecoms and network projects.
- Review technical documentation to support test planning.
- Perform functional, integration, and acceptance testing in enterprise network environments.
- Identify, log, and track defects, collaborating with teams for resolution.
- Support network validation activities and reporting using test management tools.
Requirements
- Experience testing telecoms/network infrastructure, including routers and firewalls.
- Ability to develop and execute test cases from technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including routing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of system integration and defect tracking processes.
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with test management tools.
