Overview
We are looking for a skilled Niche RMS Test Lead to support a significant records management system implementation within a UK police force. This role involves hands-on testing and requires an individual with prior experience in Niche RMS implementations in a policing setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various teams to plan, execute, and oversee testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and actively participate in testing activities for Niche RMS implementation.
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Support various testing types including system, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance.
- Identify, investigate, and manage defects, collaborating with technical teams.
- Engage with operational policing teams, business analysts, and project managers.
- Coordinate testing progress, maintain documentation, and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Support readiness and preparation for system go-live.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on testing experience with Niche RMS in a UK police force.
- Strong background in software testing at either Senior Test Analyst, Test Lead, or Test Manager level.
- Experience in creating and executing test scripts, managing defects, and facilitating UAT.
- Solid understanding of policing processes and operational records management systems.
- Familiarity with complex system implementations or transformation programmes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and own testing processes.
- Previous police vetting or security clearance is a plus.
