Power Electronics Engineer

Overview

The Contract Power Electronics Engineer will support the design and delivery of innovative power conversion and control solutions within a skilled engineering team. This role involves contributing to the development of complex electronic products for challenging industrial applications, with a focus on a new design project managed entirely in-house from conception to manufacture. The engineer will also be responsible for assessing their IR35 status if they choose to operate through their own PSC.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronics solutions for next-generation applications.
• Collaborate with a skilled engineering team on design projects from inception to manufacture.
• Debug, commission, and validate power conversion systems.
• Utilize Pulsonix/Cadstar for electronic design tasks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations in relevant industries.
• Assess IR35 status if operating via a personal service company (PSC).

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3 phase PFC front end design.
• Demonstrated ability in debugging, commissioning, and validating electronic systems.
• Familiarity with Pulsonix or Cadstar design software.
• Experience in highly regulated industries.
• Ability to achieve SC Clearance.
