Overview
The Principal Full Stack Engineer will leverage deep expertise in Azure AI Search and Elasticsearch to develop and optimize search functionalities in responsive web applications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the contractor will focus on building innovative solutions utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks while ensuring robust cloud infrastructure through Azure. This role is essential for driving the integration of advanced AI capabilities within the search domain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Elasticsearch cluster architecture and index mapping.
- Implement and manage Azure AI Search functionalities, including custom skillsets and vector search.
- Build responsive, search-heavy web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.js or Angular.
- Utilize Azure ecosystem services for application deployment and management.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployment using Azure DevOps and Terraform.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate enterprise AI patterns into search applications.
- Tune performance and maintain applications for optimal user experience.
Requirements
- Must have extensive experience with Elasticsearch, including query tuning and cluster management.
- Proficiency in Azure AI Search and its custom functionalities.
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, preferably React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Functions and API Management.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and Docker.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (AKS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate preferred.
