Overview
The Program Test Manager will lead the quality assurance (QA) efforts for a significant transformation project in the oil trading technology sector. This senior role involves defining QA strategy and governance across various interconnected workstreams, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure the programme meets readiness criteria for user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live processes. The manager will also oversee testing coordination and reporting across multiple platforms in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and define the overall programme QA and testing strategy across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate testing across interconnected Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office platforms.
- Lead SIT, E2E, UAT, and integration testing, ensuring full coverage across the trade lifecycle.
- Define quality gates and UAT entry/exit criteria, challenging the programme as necessary.
- Oversee test case and test scenario development, utilizing AI for efficiency and coverage.
- Manage defect, risk, and issue governance across multiple delivery teams.
- Lead cutover and go-live testing, validating migration sequencing and business continuity.
- Provide clear QA reporting to senior programme stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- Strong experience leading QA at programme or enterprise level.
- Proven track record of creating and owning test strategy and governance across multiple workstreams.
- In-depth Front-to-Back experience across trading platforms.
- Experience with complex system integration, migration, and legacy platform replacement.
- Strong understanding of SIT, E2E, UAT, and cutover testing methodologies.
- Confident stakeholder manager capable of challenging senior stakeholders as needed.
- Experience in the commodities, energy, financial services, or capital markets sectors is highly desirable.
- Interest in utilizing AI and modern testing approaches to enhance quality and efficiency.
