Overview
In this contract role as Programme Delivery Manager, you will lead the integration of a complex multi-team programme in a fast-growing healthcare software environment. Collaborating with engineers, quality assurance teams, and third-party suppliers, you will create a unified delivery plan focused on a live launch deadline. This position requires strong leadership in navigating dependencies and driving outcomes, ensuring successful delivery under pressure while maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the integrated delivery plan and critical path to launch.
- Facilitate daily cross-team stand-ups across client, engineering, QA, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve blockers and dependencies effectively.
- Maintain RAID logs with clear ownership and deadlines for risks, issues, and actions.
- Ensure backlog readiness with defined acceptance criteria for product and engineering teams.
- Provide concise stakeholder updates on progress, risks, and critical decisions.
- Drive outcomes through effective leadership rather than mere reporting.
- Navigate complex programme challenges to achieve control and successful delivery.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Senior Delivery Manager or Programme Delivery Manager in software and digital delivery.
- Experience managing delivery across multiple teams and suppliers.
- Strong skill in dependency management, RAID processes, and critical-path oversight.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and challenge teams effectively.
- Technical literacy to engage meaningfully with engineering teams.
- Background in consultancy or client-facing delivery leadership is a plus.
- Experience in SaaS and integration-heavy programmes, particularly with OutSystems and Workato, is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare or regulated sectors is advantageous.
