Overview
The Programme Delivery Manager will lead a critical multi-team programme within a fast-growing healthcare software company, ensuring timely delivery and successful launch of a complex platform. This contract role involves orchestrating efforts across various teams including engineering, QA, and a third-party supplier, focusing on creating a cohesive delivery plan and managing dependencies effectively. The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic environments, resolving challenges and driving outcomes to meet project goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an integrated delivery plan outlining the path to launch.
- Facilitate daily cross-team stand-ups to ensure alignment and progress.
- Identify and drive the resolution of blockers and dependencies impacting delivery.
- Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) with accountability and deadlines for each item.
- Ensure backlog readiness with clear acceptance criteria for Product and Engineering deliverables.
- Provide concise updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve delivery objectives.
- Challenge processes and decisions when necessary to drive accountability and outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Delivery Manager or Programme Delivery Manager in software and digital delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes with multiple teams and suppliers.
- Strong skills in dependency management, RAID tracking, and critical-path analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a focus on senior-level engagements.
- Experience in recovery management for at-risk programmes.
- Familiarity with Product, Engineering, and QA workflows.
- Background in consultancy or agency roles is a plus; experience in SaaS or integration-heavy projects is preferable.
- Ability to understand technical concepts without being the final decision-maker.
