Overview
The Programme Delivery Manager will oversee a complex, multi-team program in a fast-growing healthcare software company, focusing on the delivery of a platform used by clinicians. This contract role is suited for a delivery leader who excels in managing dependencies and driving outcomes. The successful candidate will integrate various teams, including engineering, QA, and third-party suppliers, to ensure alignment and a successful launch while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the integrated delivery plan and critical path for launch.
- Facilitate daily cross-team stand-ups to ensure alignment across the client, engineering, QA, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve blockers and dependencies to maintain program momentum.
- Establish and maintain RAID logs with assigned owners and deadlines for risks, issues, and actions.
- Ensure backlog readiness and acceptance criteria are met in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
- Provide concise stakeholder updates on program progress, risks, and decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing at-risk programs and bringing them back under control.
- Senior Delivery Manager or Programme Delivery Manager level with a strong software delivery background.
- Solid experience in managing dependencies, RAID, and critical-path activities.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and suppliers effectively.
- Experience in senior stakeholder management with strong negotiation skills.
- Basic technical literacy to challenge engineering teams effectively.
