Overview
The Project Manager for HV Cable Infrastructure will oversee the delivery of high voltage engineering projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders including designers, consultants, and construction teams, while guaranteeing compliance with relevant regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the execution of a major 132kV cable route project, working both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage project programmes, budgets, and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee project quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate efforts between designers, consultants, surveyors, construction teams, and suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations and relevant legislation.
- Support the successful execution of a major 132kV cable route project.
- Report on project progress and address any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering HV/EHV engineering or utilities projects.
- Strong track record in managing project programmes, budgets, and scope.
- In-depth understanding of CDM Regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with streetworks and highways projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Capability to work independently alongside multidisciplinary teams.
- High voltage cable project experience (132kV, 66kV, or 33kV) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and civil engineering principles is a plus.
