Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / PMO Lead to oversee an IT separation and transition project for an IT managed services provider. The contractor will collaborate closely with the Programme Manager and coordinate activities among multiple stakeholders, including the parent company and a new outsourcing provider. The role focuses on hands-on delivery, ensuring successful execution of the project within a hybrid working environment, with some travel required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Programme Manager to drive deliverables and monitor actions across all involved parties.
- Own and maintain the integrated project plan, updating it as dependencies and dates shift.
- Manage programme governance documents including RAID logs and progress reports.
- Ensure all parties meet milestones and escalate delays promptly.
- Develop working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Understand infrastructure workstreams to challenge progress and identify risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or PMO Lead in IT separations or transitions.
- Strong programme control skills, including experience with MS Project or similar tools.
- Background in IT infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure cloud and on-premise environments.
- Ability to engage confidently with board and executive stakeholders.
- Persistent and tenacious approach in liaising with third parties and senior stakeholders.
