The IT Application Project Manager will play a significant role in supporting a UK and European team, focusing on delivering application enhancement projects and system rollouts for a multinational manufacturing organization. With a strong emphasis on project delivery and stakeholder management, the contractor will work collaboratively to ensure effective change management and the successful adoption of new systems and processes. This hands-on position is ideal for an experienced IT Project Manager with a focus on practical technology improvements and business engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of new application rollouts and system enhancements.
  • Manage defined workstreams or end-to-end application projects, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, scope, and budget.
  • Maintain project plans, manage risks and dependencies, and provide regular stakeholder reporting.
  • Coordinate testing, deployment activities, and successful transition into business-as-usual support.
  • Manage and implement major application change requests while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Create and maintain user guides, system documentation, and training materials.
  • Deliver end-user training for new systems and enhanced application functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal business users and third-party vendors to execute the European application strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in application support, business applications, IT project delivery, or application delivery roles.
  • Essential experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Proven experience delivering application rollouts, enhancements, and business change initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power Platform, SharePoint, and Dynamics.
  • Demonstrable project delivery capability, including project planning, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience across multicultural and multilingual environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-focused approach to problem solving.
