Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a key data project as part of a 6-month contract. This role will focus on end-to-end project delivery while fostering stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration to align with strategic priorities. The successful candidate will implement effective governance, managing risks, issues, and budget oversight to ensure quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the successful delivery of project scope within agreed timelines, budget, and quality.
- Develop and oversee detailed project delivery plans and ensure adherence to the governance framework.
- Monitor and report on project progress, proactively managing any issues that arise.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with business and IT stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure quality assurance and maintain the overall integrity of the programme.
- Control project budget and monitor expenditure, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Manage risks associated with project delivery and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Oversee third-party commitments and engage in commercial negotiations with Procurement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Project/Programme Manager in delivering complex data projects.
- Expertise in project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Strong abilities in risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience managing budgets and financial reporting for projects.
- Demonstrated capability in cross-functional collaboration and managing dependencies.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Portfolio Management processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in negotiating with third parties and managing vendor relationships.
