Overview
The Robotics Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining features across the full robotics stack, focusing on ROS 2 Jazzy. Collaborating with teams to diagnose and resolve complex issues on production machinery, this role will integrate hands-on software engineering with physical hardware and simulations, ensuring robust, production-grade solutions for autonomous systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop modular and well-documented subsystems in ROS 2 Jazzy.
- Diagnose and replicate system issues using hands-on methods with microfactory hardware.
- Implement production-grade solutions to address edge cases in autonomous operations.
- Participate in code and design reviews to enhance developer tooling.
- Improve automated testing practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping and maintaining commercial software.
- Strong skills in Python, with added proficiency in C++ being advantageous.
- Extensive experience with ROS 2, including nodes, topics, and services.
- Solid understanding of Linux, including systemd and networking.
- Hands-on debugging skills with physical hardware and embedded systems.
