Overview
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer on a contract basis to join a dynamic FinTech team focused on enhancing their cloud security posture. This role involves collaborating with the CloudOps/Platform team to implement security best practices and drive innovation while supporting the company's growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in security technologies and frameworks to ensure the platform effectively mitigates cloud security threats.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CloudOps/Platform teams to implement security enhancements.
- Design and enforce security policies and best practices.
- Utilize Microsoft Sentinel for security information and event management.
- Develop secure cloud architectures leveraging Azure services.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as Snyk and NIST.
- Oversee implementation of security measures within Kubernetes and Terraform environments.
- Engage with AI tools for proactive security management.
- Provide guidance on Azure Security technologies including Defender and Entra ID.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in security roles, primarily in DevOps/CloudOps environments.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Sentinel and SIEM practices.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Azure Cloud technologies and security.
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with security frameworks including NIST and Snyk.
- Experience designing secure architectures and policies.
- Recent experience utilizing AI tooling for security enhancements.
