Overview
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a dynamic payments company in a hybrid capacity, working 2-3 days in the office. The role involves playing a crucial part in the development and scaling of a high-throughput payments platform that supports various financial services products globally. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple teams to drive engineering best practices and contribute to the evolution of a modern, cloud-native architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of high-performance .NET services for a global payments platform.
- Build and scale event-driven microservices in Azure.
- Drive best practices across architecture, coding standards, observability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product teams to design API-driven payment and partner integrations.
- Mentor and support engineers while contributing hands-on to critical systems.
- Evolve a scalable, distributed architecture for high transaction volumes.
- Enhance engineering velocity, delivery quality, and platform resilience.
Requirements
- Strong experience with .NET / C# in production systems.
- Experience in building cloud-native systems in Azure.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Service Bus, Event Grid).
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB.
- Proven track record in building distributed systems and scalable APIs.
- Experience with payments platforms or high-throughput transactional systems.
- Strong understanding of system design, reliability, and performance at scale.
- Ability to lead technically while remaining hands-on in development.
