Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Ruby Developer to enhance a growing engineering team on a 6-month contract, which may be extended. In this role, the contractor will design and maintain scalable applications while collaborating with engineers and product teams to implement new features and improve existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable applications using Ruby.
- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
- Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Contribute to technical discussions and improve engineering practices.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver new features.
- Support the maintenance and evolution of existing systems.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Ruby.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
- Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Experience with automated testing and writing high-quality code.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and modern development practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
