Overview
We are seeking a Java Tech Lead to join a software consultancy and take a key role in delivering a greenfield project for a large client in the iGaming industry. The successful candidate will lead a product-based team, embracing a 'you build it, you run it' philosophy, and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of system development, from design to deployment and production support.
Responsibilities
- Lead a product-based development team in delivering solutions.
- Own the design, deployment, and production support of systems.
- Implement and maintain Java and Spring Boot REST APIs.
- Utilize Kafka for event-driven system architecture.
- Employ AWS services for application hosting and management.
- Promote test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Support infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives.
- Foster observability and AI-assisted engineering techniques in project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and MSK.
- Familiarity with TDD, CI/CD, and IaC practices.
- Previous experience in the iGaming, betting, or financial services industries.
- Ability to work in a remote-first environment.
