Overview
The SAP Functional Lead will play a critical role in guiding a client through their SAP S/4HANA transformation, focusing primarily on FICO while also overseeing aspects of SD and MM. They will lead a small team of functional consultants, act as the primary liaison with the systems integrator, and ensure that project requirements are met consistently. This leadership position demands proficient communication skills to facilitate clear stakeholder engagement and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead design decisions throughout the testing, go-live, and hypercare phases.
- Manage and support a team of FICO, SD, and MM functional consultants.
- Collaborate with the systems integrator on a daily basis to maximize partnership outcomes.
- Oversee the delivery of follow-on template work post go-live.
- Engage with stakeholders, providing clear, jargon-free communication.
Requirements
- Proven background in SAP FICO, currently operating at lead or design authority level.
- Experience in S/4HANA implementations from a customer perspective, including systems integrator management.
- Previous experience leading or managing functional consultants.
- Good knowledge and understanding of SD and MM modules.
- Ability to approach problems in a calm, structured manner and maintain project momentum.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
