Overview
The Security Engineer will focus on enhancing the security posture of the organization through the implementation of critical technologies, primarily F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto. This role will be predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring collaboration with teams across various locations including Warwick, Wokingham, Corsham, and Farnborough. The contractor will utilize their expertise to tackle security challenges and improve the overall network security infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop security solutions leveraging F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Collaborate with teams to implement and configure security appliances.
- Conduct hands-on testing and troubleshooting of security systems.
- Analyze network vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support VPN technologies including IPsec and SSL VPN.
- Assist in the integration of Cisco networking solutions and their management.
- Document security processes and incidents for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience with F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies, including IPsec and SSL VPN.
- Familiarity with routing protocols and Wide Area Network technologies.
- Understanding of Checkpoint, Juniper, and Bluecoat is a plus.
- Experience with Cisco networking solutions, including switching and wireless technologies.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and managing security appliances.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
