Overview
Join a newly formed infrastructure team as a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer, offering stability and the chance to make a significant impact. You will collaborate with a capable group of engineers, focusing on resolving complex operational issues while supporting the development of a modern, cloud-first infrastructure. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic environment, allowing you to work on a broad technical estate.
Responsibilities
- Provide support across a range of 3rd line Infrastructure activities.
- Resolve complex ticketed operational issues, including print server queues and networking hardware troubleshooting.
- Support and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Ensure stability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.
- Work with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualised environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements and ongoing technical projects.
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to deliver high-quality internal IT services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years' hands-on experience in cloud and infrastructure support.
- Strong expertise in Azure Cloud, including Azure Active Directory and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Proficiency in Azure IaaS and PaaS services, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and firewall technologies, including SD-WAN and Palo Alto.
- Familiarity with VMware and virtualisation platforms.
- Ability to handle enterprise-scale networking and server environments (300–400 users/servers).
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
