Overview
The GCP Test Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the testing and assurance of secure, cloud-based platforms and services. This position involves collaborating with platform engineers, architects, and security teams to ensure that solutions meet rigorous compliance and security standards, particularly within regulated environments. The successful candidate will be influential in maintaining the integrity and operational readiness of cloud infrastructures while contributing to quality practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Test and assure cloud platforms, infrastructure, and services.
- Validate integrations, deployments, and platform configurations.
- Support automated testing and CI/CD quality practices.
- Conduct integration, resilience, and operational readiness testing.
- Investigate defects and support troubleshooting efforts.
- Contribute to the development of testing standards, tools, and quality practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer, Cloud Test Engineer, Platform Test Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience in testing cloud-hosted or cloud-native platforms and services.
- Familiarity with secure, regulated, or government environments.
- Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure, integration, and platform testing on cloud platforms, ideally GCP.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated testing.
- Experience in functional, integration, regression, and non-functional testing, including API/service testing.
