Overview
We are seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to contribute to nuclear and infrastructure projects within a leading engineering consultancy. This role involves delivering design work collaboratively with a vibrant team of over 150 professionals. The engineer will take on hands-on technical tasks, engage with clients, and apply their expertise in structural condition assessments and detailed design throughout various project phases.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on small projects and design sub-tasks from a technical perspective.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design analysis for civil and structural works.
- Conduct structural condition surveys and assessments as a core responsibility.
- Develop calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Communicate designs effectively to BIM teams and engage with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare proposals and technical reports for clients.
- Conduct feasibility studies and deliver value engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years' civil and structural design experience.
- Proven experience conducting structural condition surveys and assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small projects and prepare detailed design analysis.
- Proficiency in BIM communication platforms.
- Professional qualifications such as CEng or IEng status are desirable.
- Experience within the nuclear industry and on infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail in technical documentation and effective client communication skills.
