Overview
The Senior Data Engineer will join a rapidly growing technology-led business focusing on enhancing their Data & AI capabilities. Working within the data enablement team, this contractor will collaborate with Data Analysts, Engineers, and business stakeholders to develop scalable data products and improve analytics capabilities, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into robust data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize data pipelines and data products.
- Design data models and support ELT processes.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Engineers and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, observability and wider data initiatives.
- Take ownership of projects with minimal oversight.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and Python.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and dbt.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and ELT processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in code reviews and software testing practices.
