Overview
The Senior Frontend Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing the company’s customer-facing marketing platform, primarily focusing on the integration and redesign of existing features using Next.js. Collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, the contractor will work on consolidating components, merging a separate search project, and implementing features based on ongoing conversion rate optimization and A/B testing. This hybrid role requires in-office presence one to two days per week in Manchester and offers the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technologies within a well-established UK business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production websites using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
- Consolidate and re-skin existing components to align with a new design.
- Merge a separate search project into the main marketing platform.
- Implement features based on insights from ongoing conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing.
- Create reusable and well-structured component libraries.
- Utilize AI tooling such as Claude Code in daily workflows.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and maintaining production sites with Next.js.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Tailwind.
- Experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful.
- Ability to develop well-structured and reusable component libraries.
- Familiarity with AI tooling such as Claude Code.
- Experience in marketing or conversion-focused websites is advantageous.
- Background in UI/UX or design engineering, with hands-on experience using Figma is a plus.
