Overview
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will provide expert technical support and leadership in a Microsoft-focused cloud and infrastructure environment. Collaborating with the IT Manager and the wider IT team, the Contractor will address complex technical issues, contribute to security initiatives, and support the organization in its cloud migration efforts. This hands-on role requires a deep understanding of various technologies and an ability to improve and automate technical processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd-line infrastructure support across a Microsoft environment.
- Administer Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Support Windows Server and hybrid infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot networking issues.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Conduct security remediation, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for administration tasks.
- Assist in migrating on-premise environments to Azure and SharePoint.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure, Systems, or Cloud Engineer.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Entra ID / Active Directory and Intune.
- Solid background in Windows Server and networking.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Strong 3rd-line troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
- Experience with automation or automated infrastructure processes is beneficial.
