Overview
The role of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer involves providing expertise in mechanical systems design within the MEP consultancy sector. The contractor will work in a hybrid capacity, collaborating with a team on projects across various sectors, including commercial, hotels, and healthcare. The position is expected to last for a rolling six-month term, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical design solutions for projects in various sectors.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure design alignment with client requirements.
- Conduct detailed calculations and simulations to support design decisions.
- Prepare and review technical documentation and specifications.
- Utilize Revit for modeling mechanical systems where applicable.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the building services industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and best practices.
- Experience in MEP consultancy or contracting environments.
- Proficiency in Revit is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial, hotel, and healthcare projects is an advantage.
