Overview
The Senior Project Manager will oversee a significant VMware Cloud Foundation upgrade for a financial services client, coordinating delivery across multiple technical teams. This role involves managing project planning, execution, and communication, ensuring that timelines and stakeholder expectations are met. The contractor will work closely with architects, engineers, and customer representatives, and will benefit from a flexible working arrangement with minimal on-site requirements.
Responsibilities
- Own planning, delivery and reporting for a Broadcom VMware VCF upgrade.
- Coordinate four parallel workstreams made up of architects, engineers and customer engineers.
- Manage risks, dependencies and issues across the programme.
- Run project briefings and align stakeholders on scope, timelines and expectations.
- Keep delivery on track to the end of March 2027, flagging any changes early.
- Ensure clear documentation and a smooth handover.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience on VMware or comparable infrastructure projects.
- Recent experience delivering VCF or large-scale VMware upgrades.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Confident managing multiple parallel teams and stakeholders.
- Clear communicator, comfortable working with technical specialists and customers.
