Overview
The Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a major Solar PV project in the East Midlands, working with a leading renewable energy developer. This position involves overseeing contractors, managing project budgets, and ensuring that project goals are met. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and entails monitoring project progress and addressing any challenges that arise throughout the construction phase.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall project delivery, ensuring programme, cost, quality, and contractual objectives are achieved.
- Manage and supervise contractors, consultants, and key project stakeholders during construction.
- Monitor construction schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage project budgets, including cost reporting and commercial risk assessment.
- Identify and proactively resolve technical, commercial, and construction challenges.
- Provide clear and regular reporting to senior management regarding project progress, risks, and milestones.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction management and project delivery processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and collaborations effectively.
- Experience with budget management and risk assessment in a project context.
- Flexibility to travel to site locations as required during the project lifecycle.
