Overview
As a Senior Python Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing a production agentic AI product within a leading cyber security organization. This contract position emphasizes autonomy and ownership over your project area, where you will work primarily in Python, utilizing frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask. You will engage closely with the client in a remote-first environment, focusing on delivering an innovative solution that bridges AI and cyber security while ensuring effective communication within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-powered MCP servers using Python and relevant frameworks.
- Own and manage a self-contained area of the build process from start to finish.
- Integrate LLMs to enhance the client’s existing frameworks.
- Collaborate with the client to refine priorities in a weekly backlog.
- Maintain proactive communication with team members regarding progress and challenges.
- Design and build scalable APIs and cloud-native applications.
- Ensure alignment of your project area with the fast-paced team environment.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in Python, especially with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Proven experience in building agentic AI applications using LLMs via APIs.
- Ability to design and develop scalable APIs and cloud-native applications.
- Experience owning project areas while collaborating with a team.
- Strong, proactive communication skills.
- Experience with FastMCP is desirable but not essential.
