Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of water projects, particularly within the water and wastewater sector. This role offers the chance to take full ownership of the project lifecycle from tender handover to final account, collaborating closely with project teams to drive strong financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects from tender handover to final account.
- Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor agreements and commercial documentation.
- Monitor project performance, costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Manage contractual change, variations, and compensation events.
- Produce accurate commercial reporting and financial forecasts.
- Lead commercial discussions with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Support operational teams to embed commercial awareness throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual management expertise.
- Excellent analytical, financial, and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify commercial risks and develop practical solutions.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive approach with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience within the water sector or MEICA project delivery is advantageous.
