Overview
The Senior Software Engineer - Python will contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of recruitment processes by developing tools that improve the acquisition funnel. This fully remote role involves large-scale system design, migration, and process optimization in a collaborative technical environment, working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to reducing cost per hire by building automation tools and migration strategies.
- Develop, test, and optimize backend APIs using RESTful and GraphQL standards.
- Lead the decommissioning of Rails monolith components to ensure a smooth transition.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify technical improvements.
- Maintain and enhance backend integrations with third-party systems.
- Drive code quality through regular reviews and adherence to best practices.
- Create comprehensive documentation for system architecture and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Relevant experience in Software Engineering with Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, Java, or Rust.
- Demonstrated polyglot programming ability and willingness to adapt to new code bases.
- Experience with React frontend development, database design (Postgres, MySQL, Redis).
- Ability to leverage coding agents and AI advancements to improve delivery efficiency.
- Experience with API development, system migration, and conducting code reviews.
- Ability to work remotely during the contract period.
