Overview
We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer for a 3-month remote contract to support a public sector digital transformation program. In this role, you will focus on end-to-end testing of business processes across various platforms, ensuring thorough validation of changes before their release. You will collaborate closely with Agile teams to maintain high quality and reliability in connected applications, leveraging strong automation expertise and functional testing skills.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable automated UI, API, and integration tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform functional, end-to-end, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Identify test scenarios, risks, and coverage requirements early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Manage defects, retesting, and requirements traceability using Jira and Xray.
- Produce clear test evidence, results, and risk assessments to support release decisions.
Requirements
- Strong test automation experience using Playwright, Cypress, and/or Python.
- Experience testing REST APIs, JSON/XML payloads, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Postman, Bruno, REST Assured, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience using Jira and Xray for test management and defect tracking.
- Strong Agile testing skills and effective communication with developers and Product Owners.
- Desirable: AWS application testing, CloudWatch log analysis, and SQL-based backend data validation.
