Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Python and React for a remote, 3-month contract role aimed at developing a public sector digital service. The successful candidate will collaborate with an Agile team to create secure, reliable software, taking full ownership of the development and delivery lifecycle from initial refinement through to production deployment.
Responsibilities
- Develop accessible, responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build secure backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Implement integrations and database changes for reliable AWS deployments.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
- Work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, including data modelling and query optimisation.
- Troubleshoot defects and improve service reliability during production releases.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Python/FastAPI.
- Proficiency in building REST APIs and microservices with secure authentication protocols.
- Practical experience with AWS services, including IAM and serverless technologies.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Git, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience working collaboratively in Agile delivery teams.
- Desirable knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and container orchestration.
