Overview
The Senior Software Engineer (Contract) will play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions for the insurance sector. Ideal candidates will be proactive self-starters capable of quickly understanding project contexts and driving efficient outcomes. They will collaborate with various stakeholders to translate complex technical solutions into comprehensible terms and work in an agile environment alongside teams focused on modern technologies including React and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-level designs and solutions management.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align project goals.
- Create and optimize frontend components using React, TypeScript, and related technologies.
- Build and maintain backend APIs using TypeScript on Node and Azure Functions.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure management and deployment.
- Perform unit and integration testing with Jest and other testing tools.
- Document code and processes for maintainability and team onboarding.
Requirements
- Significant experience with React, TypeScript, and Azure services.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and best practices.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and collaborative software development.
- Familiarity with backend development using Node.js and Azure Functions.
- Knowledge of database management with Microsoft SQL Server and Prisma.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
