  • Manage pre and post-migration validation focusing on application servers, identity dependencies, and network connectivity.
  • Utilize Azure IaaS for managing virtual networks and supporting hosted workloads during the separation process.
  • Provide immediate break-fix support for failed migrations, quickly restoring operational integrity.
  • Drive automation and configuration management through PowerShell and relevant tools like DSC or SCCM.
  • Contribute to documentation such as runbooks, rollback plans, and change control, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on Windows Server administration experience (2016 to 2022), including build, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Extensive experience with Azure IaaS, particularly in managing virtual networks and hybrid environments.
  • Strong fundamentals in networking, including VLANs, VPNs, and TLS management.
  • Previous experience in a high-availability, 24/7 operational environment with minimal downtime tolerance.
  • Experience in large-scale data centre migrations or M&A separations is highly desirable.
  • Some exposure to Linux systems is beneficial but primarily focused on Windows expertise.
